The Heart of Religion chapter 5 expounded. Early man’s fear of death and clinging to life. The rejection of the elements in one that one does not like and therefore represses. Silence — brain stops talking. Observe calmly, thus attachment and aversion disappear. In freedom the sense functions are purified.
