The Phiroz Mehta Trust Summer School 2015
From the Editor
There are a few places still available for our Summer School from 21st to 26th July at Claridge House, Lingfield, Surrey. Claridge House is a Quaker house and we have already held two successful Summer Schools there. It has an attractive garden and is a warm and welcoming place to stay, with good vegetarian food and comfortable rooms. Some special diets are also available.
The cost for the five days for a single room with shared facilities will be £335 per person. A non-returnable deposit of £50 per person should be sent for a booking to Rosemary Monk at 47 Lillian Road, London SW13 9JF. The balance would be payable by 15th June and cheques should be made payable to Claridge House.
We are able to offer completely free places to two people who have not been to our Summer School before. We are also able to help considerably with the payment of fees for those who might find it difficult to meet the full cost. Please contact Rosemary Monk about this.
We have a number of plans for the five days apart from listening to recorded talks by Phiroz Mehta and discussing them. Karen O’Brien Kop and Amelia Wood, sponsored by the Phiroz Mehta Trust for their studies at SOAS, University of London, are coming to speak about Yoga, which they both teach. Geoffrey Pullen will tell us about his experiences very recently at a Vipassana retreat in Nepal. We shall also see a DVD entitled “Wisdom of Changes” by Bettina Wilhelm, the granddaughter of Richard Wilhelm, the friend of C. G. Jung. We shall also go for walks in the lovely countryside around Lingfield, weather permitting, and on one day we shall have healing sessions for those who wish with a local healer.
Do come if you possibly can.
