A talk given by Phiroz Mehta at Dilkusha, Forest Hill, London on 10th March 1979

The Buddha said "The pith, the culmination of the holy life is the unconditioned freedom of mind." He did not say unconditioned freedom of sense-consciousness. We experience the cosmos in terms of conditionality - paṭicca-samuppāda - of which the peak point is death. The Buddha showed the way to unconditional freedom.
