A talk given by Phiroz Mehta at Dilkusha, Forest Hill, London on 10th February 1979
Consciousness is confined to sense-brain functioning. Dormant in us are sensitivities, potentialities which strive to break through confinement. How can we perceive a life-trend when we are held in the prison of our own ignorance? Be quiet, be no-thing, creative, free, human. The transformation of the subhuman into the full human. We have to learn to perceive and co-operate intelligently with the trends of life for the human species. The deep religious truths in the Scriptures remain mere words, because our conditioning makes us misinterpret what is taught there.
