What do we understand by silence? Silence for us is the complete ending of the intrusion of “self” upon the Totality, the cosmic process. Do not forcibly suppress “chatter.” Speech always goes on through one or other of the senses. There is speech which is not obtrusive to silence — Prophetic Speech, which is in harmony with silence.
