A talk given by Phiroz Mehta at Dilkusha, Forest Hill, London on 8th January 1977
The Buddha said that all existence is ill. Existence means “standing out of”. Is there a true “standing out of” or are we conscious in a separative way? Teachers taught living by Transcendental, not merely worldly, ethic. Thus self-oriented consciousness is transformed into unselfness. Untransformed, I die a mortal death. Transformed, I die transformatively into Immortal Reality.
