Most of us regard “self” as body-soul-spirit. Note anattā. The Absolute is devoid of body, feelings, etc. The only real meaning of “self” is the Totality. What do I mean by “knowing”? — just a pattern of acquired concepts and words. We start with self and awake in inner consciousness to the Totality.
