Ordinary “paying attention” — “I”, the subject, am attending to “you”, the object. In total attentiveness, there is no distorting effect of the past (memories and concepts) upon the present. So you are awake to Totality, now, omnisciently, not encyclopaedically. It is the awakeness in the mode of awareness which is im-mortal.
