A talk given by Phiroz Mehta at Dilkusha, Forest Hill, London on 6th July 1975
We care for ourselves in the name of the religious life. Confined to viññāṇa, we can never know Transcendence. “Knowing” Transcendence = Being Transcendence. Free of limitations of viññāṇa, this realization can take place. “I” can never “attain” Transcendence. Seeing this, then the purification and the meaning of the Void is realized.
