A talk given by Phiroz Mehta at Dilkusha, Forest Hill, London on 9th March 1974

Happiness is constitutive of our human nature in the religious sense (hu-man = "happy creator"). Pleasure belongs to the realm of viññāṇa, is disturbing, and is striven after. Pleasure-seeking is bondage. The root of all this is "me." My task is to understand. The Truth heals. Now there is understanding in which there is no "you" and "me."
