Rituals affect the psyche, energizing the good and the bad. Soma is the supreme ritualistic God of the Ṛg-Veda. Basically Soma is the God of inspiration. This inspiration is Transcendent creative power, and creative power is constant creation - the great ritual, the sacrifice.
