Summary

Atharva-Veda: “Varuṇa sends and drives away diseases.” Indra — his two epithets, Maghavān (the Bountiful One) and Vṛitrahan (slayer of the demon Vṛitra). Indra is perfect egohood completely devoid of egoism and isolative self-consciousness.
