The Phiroz Mehta Scholarship

Find talks and articles

By The Editor

As mentioned in our last Newsletter, the Phiroz Mehta Trust has decided to fund a student for one year for a Master’s course in Traditions of Yoga and Meditation at SOAS, University of London. We have been enabled to do this by means of a legacy from the estate of the late Mr. Peter Burrell.

The student selected by SOAS is Karen O’Brien-Kop, who is a practitioner and teacher of Yoga and has been studying Eastern philosophy for more than a decade. She describes herself as “someone who is equally passionate about subjective experience of Yoga and Meditation and the objective study and critique thereof.” The Trustees are very happy about the decision and wish Karen every success in her studies.
